Final Final Blog
- What was the biggest challenge you faced in this project? Did you overcome it? How? If not, why do you think you didn't?
- What is the one thing you learned in the project that you will remember 10 years from now?
- Do you think schools across America should have 20% projects? Why or why not?
This project can give students some time to study their interests, no matter how silly they are or how complex they can be. It gives them time to study something amazing and unique that usually wouldn't be taught in school
Final Blog
1. What have you accomplished since your last blog post?
I have finished my video entirely, though the quality of said video is very poor. I will probably not turn in my video due to too many grammar mistakes and low quality.
2. What have been your major challenges since last blog post?
There has been a lot of editing I needed to do, and like the procrastinator I am I waited till sunday night to finish editing and exporting my film.
3. What have you learned this last week?
This Week I have learned that If I ever pull an all nighter I should drink coffee in the morning to get me up so I can go to school the next day.

1) What have you LEARNED since your last update?
I have researched a lot more about the chemicals released when you work out. I have been trying to simplify them but regardless, they are still very complicated. I have also learned a lot more about premiere and how to use it, both through my project and also helping my sister with her documentary for her class. By using premiere so much I have been able to make my videos smoother and better.
2) What have you ACCOMPLISHED since your last update?
I have a lot of my video complete, I just need to refilm the talking part of my film and everything will be great. I plan to do that this weekend. I have all my interviews complete and I have hopefully enough B roll footage to make this project come out somewhat successfully.
3) What obstacles or challenges are you running into?
The audio in the footage I recorded sucks and that is why I have to refilm it. It won't be to hard but it is a little bump in the road. It it also going to be a very long process to edit the newly recorded footage, but will not be all that hard.

1) What struck you most during the gallery walk today? What feedback did you hear about your project today?
During the Gallery walk, I noticed how uninterested people were in my project. I would explain my project and what I’m doing and they would ask what I already said. I need to begin editing my video together so people are interested in my subject.
2) What have you accomplished/done so far since the last blog entry (last Wednesday)
I have finished all my interviews, got tons of B roll footage and I am ready to record the final thing before creating my video.
3) What has gone wrong? What challenges have you faced?
I still do not have a mentor, and I think having one at this point in the project will be useless. I also have not had time to record the main piece to my video, which I need to do soon.
4) What is your next step of action?
I am going to record the final big piece of my video, edit it and make an amazing piece of work.

1) What have you learned since the last blog entry?
I’ve learned a lot since my last blog post, especially how people's feelings play into this. I am taking into deep consideration a study that was done awhile back, where three groups of people were tested to see how they felt. One group was given depression medication, one was exercising on a regular schedule and the other did both. At the end of the project, the group who did both stayed happier longer. I also interviewed a social worker and they said the same thing.
2) What have you accomplished/done so far?
I have three interviews, B roll footage, and I am planning to get one or two more interviews and some sweet B roll footage. It’s going to be great
3) What has gone wrong? What challenges have you faced?
Nothing so far has gone too wrong, thank goodness, and I hope it stays that way.
4) What is your next step of action?
I am going to edit my interviews, email crossfit, and get B roll footage to make a sick documentary. Viva la ejercicio!

Reality Check: How are you doing?
My project so far has been doing really well. I need to begin recording more footage but other than that I should be set for a great ordeal.
How effectively are you using your time in class? What would happen if you sat in a different seat in class? Would you be able to focus better?
I don't really have a lot to do in class right now. I would like to begin getting more footage with a good camera, I just forgot to bring it with me. I believe where I am seated is a good location, I am alone and it allows me to focus well since there are no nearby distractions.
Are you truly interested in what you're subject is? If not, you might consider how to tweak what you're working on.
I take a deep passion into what I am researching and I am very fascinated in all of it. I need begin seeing how my peers feel and I would like to ask a professional (yes people do exercise for a profession) how they feel. I am also going to get mentors, both from crossfit and maybe a Therapist to help me learn more about my subject

This week, I have tweaked my interview questions and began seeing how people feel after their first week of working out. I am going to interview 2 people today about how they have felt over the week, and ask them to set a goal for themselves.
1) What have you learned this week?
I have researched a little more about what goes in your head during a workout and how it can help people feel better. I will explain the science part during the first part of the video I create.
2) What have you accomplished so far?
I have my interview questions completed and all I need to do now is begin weekly/ biweekly interviews. The people who have signed the consent form are doing well with working out constantly, and now I just need to see how they are feeling.
3) What has gone wrong? What challenges have you faced?
I was planning on interviewing people from Crossfit and asking to interview some of them, but I was not able to go to Crossfit yesterday.
4) What is your next step of action?"
I am going to email someone at Crossfit to see if I can set up an interview and I am going to begin interviewing the people who signed a consent form.

I have noticed (From personal experience and things I have seen) that during the teenage years, we are depressed. There are hormones and some people do have a serious problem that is continued through their whole life, and many people resort to drugs to make them feel happy once again. I have come here today to tell you about how working out makes people happy, and has positive effects on your mental state and physical state.
I will not only be seeing how I feel from working out regularly, but also peers who will workout with me. I will ask how they feel before and after the workout, along with the long term feeling they get. I will also rate how I feel and how my peers feel on a happiness scale, and see how it affects their mood. I am going to ask them their goals, or to make goals and have my peers try to achieve something close to their goals by the end of the month.
As I love to workout, I also like to create videos, which is what I will do. I will create a video including the science of working out and how It affects my peers and I. I plan to film during the science part of the project during the first week of the project and Film some workouts for a Rocky like montage. I will also interview people before and after the workout and see the long term effects of working out. I am also thinking of having weekly blogs on my youtube channel, just seeing how people feel before and after the workouts and what we do during the week.
The difference between student centered learning and Audience centered learning is that there is more pressure to preform well in front of an audience, rather than just presenting in front of your peers. When you are presenting in front of an audience, you probably dont want to make a fool of yourself, so you have more pressure to preform better and work harder.
